Cathy Hackett's opponent shrugged off this behavior in media comments recently, implying that a former trustee using his influence with CalPERS to help his client was no big deal.

"That kind of business-as-usual attitude puts our pensions at risk. Cathy Hackett has the experience, strength and integrity to protect our pensions and reform CalPERS," said Bill Moe, an RN at the Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
