SEIU 721 members and all Ventura County residents will soon have access to improved trauma care in two locations*. More than 300 members provide quality healthcare services throughout Ventura County Medical Center’s (VCMC) two hospitals and clinic system. Workers are excited about this designation and look forward to being able to assist the community on a larger scale while at the same time not costing the County any additional funds.
More Community Access
VCMC serves all of Ventura County, with special emphasis on providing access to care for the underserved and those facing barriers to health services. VCMC already sees 600-700 trauma patients each year! It is the ideal location for the western half of Ventura County.
“As a public hospital employee, I am proud of the reputation that VCMC has received for its care and services throughout the state of California and nationally. We pride ourselves with the fact that we provide excellent services for anyone and our network of clinics and rehabilitation services are critical with our patient’s recovery.” Stella Batey, VCMC Nursing Assistant
