As the entire country continues to rebound from the worst recession in recent history, SEIU 721 members have made it a priority in 2012 to support candidates, including incumbents, which support issues that are important to working families and the 99% movement.
The 99% agenda includes: -
supporting and creating good jobs now -
making the rich and large corporations pay their fair share -
providing healthcare and other critical services to people in need -
creating a pathway to citizenship for every immigrant worker
Our members serve the public and they have seen first-hand what this recession along with cuts in public services has done in our communities, and with the momentum of the 99% there will be a change starting with the June primary.

In order to make candidate recommendations to the SEIU 721 Executive Board, COPE members hosted or attended a dozen town halls across Southern California listening to and asking questions of candidates for U.S. Congress, both California Houses and County Board of Supervisors.
