The outgoing mayor and CAO Miguel Santana used the recent budget process to try to take away city workers’ raises. But SEIU 721 members spoke up and defended our contracts. We told them loud and clear, “A deal’s a deal.” Because of our work, the City Council kept all city employees’ raises in the budget.
Members in MOUs 8 and 17 will get the following raises:
3% on June 30, 2013
1.5% on July 1, 2013
