What is the best date for me to retire? What happens to my accumulated sick leave, overtime, and/or vacation? How about my health care coverage?

Questions such as these and others will be addressed by LACERA representatives at the 721 Seniors Association Pre-Retirement Seminar, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the 721 Local headquarters, 500 S. Virgil in Los Angeles.

In addition, Thomas Wicke, of the law firm Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke, and Sherwin, will be on hand to answer questions about Disability retirement, on the job injuries, Workers Compensation, and your rights as an injured worker.

Also on the program will be representatives of Great-West Retirement Services to speak about the County’s Deferred Compensation plans and ATPA benefit administrators to explain the SEIU Local 721 Benefit Trust Fund sponsored voluntary benefits such as  Safeguard Dental wrap around insurance plans and Trustmark Life Cancer and Catastrophic/Custodial Care Insurance.

The program begins at 8:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast and ends at 12 noon.
