In the November JIMEE Committee meeting, we explored reshaping the Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) rates for competitive in-source bidding. This is one of the top recommendations from the JIMEE Committee that we'll make to the City Council and mayor.
The LA City engineers' contract calls for an important Joint Initiative for Maximizing Engineering Efficiency ("JIMEE") committee. Committee members monitor city engineering contracts, review contracting-out processes, identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to the City Council. The committee is made up of two representatives from MOU 8, two representatives from MOU 17, four representatives from management and one representative from the CAO's office. The reports below were compiled by Michael Simpson. For more information, please contact a member of the JIMEE Committee or Paul Kim at paul.kim@seiu721.org.
Discuss these questions and get the answers at the upcoming SEIU 721 LA/OC Cities Emergency Membership Meeting. All LA/OC Cities members are strongly encouraged to attend.
