LA Mayor and CAO Caught Hiding Workers' Raises

avx350hidingmoney.gifBreaking News:

The LA Times revealed on May 2 that the Mayor and CAO are hiding the money for city workers' raises in a special account called the "Reserve for Economic Uncertainties." It's a not-so-sneaky attempt to break their promises and take back our raises. But SEIU 721 members are not going to let them.

LA City Councilman Tony Cardenas got elected to Congress last November. On May 21, the city will hold a special election to fill his empty Council District 6 seat. If we want to have a say in who gets elected to represent CD 6, we need to talk to the candidates about the issues that matter to working families.
