Help LA County Get Healthy

Taking simple steps to better care for yourself and improve your health can save your life and save you money. As health care premiums continue to sky rocket, one thing we can control is our health and there's an easy way to do it.

First "Track your numbers."
Download the card here and carry it in your wallet. Learn your numbers - good cholesterol and bad cholesterol, blood pressure and more.

Second, Take a "Health Risk Assessment."
Both Kaiser and PacifiCare offer a simple tool to assess your risk and access the help and resources you may need based on your results. Plus you can win prizes for filling out the form.

-Kaiser: Go to the Kaiser Permanente LA County home page at http://my.kp.org/ca/countyofla/ and click on "Wellness for You Program" link

-PacifiCare ($25 gift card): Click on "Take the Health Assessment" at HealthyatCOLA.com

Feeling inspired?
You can take it to the next level and help motivate your co-workers to also set wellness goals by becoming a Wellness Advocate.

The SEIU 721 Wellness Committee works with the Department of Human Resources on county wide and departmental wellness activities for our member to participate in.  We need leaders to get the word out and come up with creative ideas to get your co-workers moving.

If you are still interested please fill out the form and submit it. Or you can download the form and submit it to your worksite organizer.
