Retired, or thinking about retiring?
The 721 Seniors Committee offers a way for retirees and those nearing retirement across Southern California to stay involved with their union.
It's also a way to stay informed, meet new people, and enjoy benefits available only through SEIU 721
Stay up on the issues
Do you want to ensure your voices are heard as well as show your support on issues that will affect our children and grandchildren? Click HERE for updates.
The Seniors Committee works with the SEIU 721 Government Relations Department and our affiliated retiree organizations on issues that affect our health care and retirement (Social Security and pensions) by attending town hall meetings, lobbying, phone banking and participating in rallies and keeping abreast with retirement-system issues. We also stay involved with our active members in their rallies and public activities.
Get ready for retirement
We have pre-retirement programs for active members who are thinking of retiring in the next five years.
Socialize with other 721 retirees
Some of our recent activities included going to San Manuel Casino, a play at Pasadena Playhouse, a Temecula wine country picnic and tour, a two-day Delta Water Tour sponsored by the Department of Water Resources and sporting events including the Dodgers, Sparks and Clippers.
Seniors Committee members can receive a range of free and discount benefits including:
- Recreation discounts to popular local theme parks, movies and much more.
- Low-cost vision, dental and cancer and catastrophic coverage.
- Involvement in the Secure Retirement Committee.

How much does it cost to join the Seniors Committee?
Membership dues vary depending on region. Currently LA County and LA City have retiree plans, and Tri-Counties and Inland Area are in the process of developing and organizing a retiree membership.
