Improve Public Service and Win $5,000

SEIU members have a lot of smart ideas for improving public services.  When we’re able to run with them, it benefits the public, helps our employers and improves our jobs.  Everybody Wins.

SEIU members also care about our jobs and the services we provide.  Many members go above and beyond what is called upon.

Everybody Wins and California Public Service Worker Recognition Week
Currently, SEIU is seeking submissions for two contests.  The deadline is March 31, 2008.

1. “Everybody Wins.”  Enter your creative ideas that will help provide or have provided better services in the public sector.  Top winners for “Everybody Wins” will receive $5000 and in person recognition at the SEIU 2008 Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Also, your SEIU Local will receive a $20,000 prize to help bring the idea to life.  click for full details

2. “Public Service Worker Recognition” sponsored by the state of California.  Winners will be recognized at a ceremony on May 7 as a part of Public Service Recognition Week. Some categories are for self-nomination.  click for full details
