There are two exciting events focused on family health for SEIU 721 members in the Whittier area happening Saturday, June 26.
First, SEIU 721 members at LA County social services and the Superior Court are teaming up for a Healthy Families Food Bank at Adventure Park in Whittier starting at 10 AM.
The event is open to the community, and SEIU 721 members have food bank priority. You can also volunteer to help distribute food and help our community. We gave away more than 200 bags of groceries at the first Healthy Families Food Bank in March in South LA (photo above).
And LA County employees can join the Fitness Challenge at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area starting at 8 AM. It’s a day of family fun featuring a 5K fitness walk and screenings about how you can prevent illness and stay healthy:
