A Personal Look at the California Budget Crisis
Every day, many of us take for granted that the trees will be trimmed by the stop sign at the busy intersection close to our home. We are confident that a call to the 911 Operator will be answered and that the California Mission closest to our home will be open to take a child to learn some history outside of a book or classroom. Each summer, we look forward to spending the day at the beach with our family knowing that the water has been tested, there will be lifeguards on duty and the trash cans will not be overflowing.
But what if that wasn’t the case, the Ventura County Star explores some of the proposed state budget cuts and how it will impact everyday life and the affects it will have on the most vulnerable living in California.
