Riverside Workers Contribute to Day of Caring on Sept. 19
Volunteer event brings SEIU 721 workers together to keep Fairmont Park beautiful.
On Saturday morning, Sept. 19, public service workers of SEIU Local 721 will participate in the United Way's 2009 Day of Caring, joining hundreds of volunteers in Riverside County working to improve local parks, schools and libraries. Register here!

SEIU 721 workers will start the day by meeting at City Hall with City Councilman Andy Melendrez of Ward 2. Volunteers will then arrive at Fairmont Park in Riverside to restore rose gardens, plant trees, remove graffiti and repaint parking spaces. Participants will end the day with a special lunch at Riverside City Hall.

Itinerary
7 a.m. - Volunteers meet at Riverside City Hall, 3900 Main St., Riverside, CA 92522.
8 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m. - Volunteers work at Fairmont Park, 2601 Fairmont Blvd., Riverside, CA 92501.
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Closing lunch at City Hall.
