LA Community College District Has Eye On Building New Leaders

At the last chapter meeting, the board met with Trustee Miguel Santiago. Two candidates, Steve Veres and Scott Svonkin, who are seeking election to the Board of Trustees in March 2011, sat down with members of the LA Community College District to seek their endorsements.

“Now that we have a new chapter board elected, our focus is to visit each district office to encourage participation by members and identify leaders who will strengthen the work we are doing to improve the education offered and ensure a strong working environment,” Chapter President Galen Bullock said.  
 
Board of Trustee meetings and personnel commission meetings are open to all members to attend. The date, time and location of the meetings will be announced soon.
