City of Santa Ana: We Need a Fair Contract NOW

We’ve reached a critical point in our fight for a fair contract.

For the past 8 months, our SEIU 721 Member Bargaining Team has negotiated in good faith with the City of Santa Ana.

The reality is that we remain far apart on key issues.

Apparently, the City is trying to drag out negotiations to stop the continuance of our holiday closure.

Although the City is in its best financial position in over 20 years, they’re offering 8.25% over 3 years, opposing retroactive pay, and is trying to avoid a contribution increase to our medical benefits. On top of that, they’re trying to silence our union voice and power by limiting union release time.

We won’t stand for this.

While the City tries to take us backwards with takeaways on our union rights, we’re fighting for retention, fairness, equity and quality services for our community.

We need to let our City leaders know on Dec 6th that we’re not going to sit idly and watch them disrespect our hard work through this pandemic.

Stand with your union brothers and sisters at Santa Ana City Hall on Tuesday, Dec 6th at 5:30PM for a strong contract!
