The following is a statement by SEIU 721 President David Green regarding the anti-Armenian hate flyers posted in Glendale on March 31, 2023:
“SEIU 721 members are outraged and disgusted by the dissemination of such vile, hate-filled flyers in the heart of Glendale.
“Our members are immigrants and people of color – working families from all backgrounds and walks of life who have come together in our union to fight for a strong future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
“We stand in solidarity with our Armenian colleagues, and condemn the recent racist attacks leveled at them through the distribution of these materials. Any attempt to incite violence against our union siblings is morally reprehensible, and we urge local officials to investigate this act as a hate crime and hold those responsible accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
