Despite our essential contributions to the City of Riverside and its residents, City management wants to treat us like second-class employees.
While other City workers are being offered double-digit raises, Riverside has only offered us 6% over three years!
On top of that, they have rejected our proposal for a compensation study, rejected alignment of Tier II & III, proposed cutting our comp time cap in half and have proposed eliminating our “me too” clause – which guarantees a like raise should management, executives, supervisors or non-represented employees receive an across the board increase.
We won’t be left behind! It’s time to take action and ensure we win what we deserve!
Our bargaining team has called for City of Riverside members to take a strike authorization vote. A strike authorization gives our bargaining team the power to call for a strike should they decide that it’s necessary.
We’ll be holding worksite voting in the coming weeks, see the schedule below. Our bargaining team recommends a YES vote.
