Take Action for Public Services

THIS WEEK – In the face of our state’s worst economic crisis, the Governor is threatening to veto more than $2 billion in taxes on oil companies and cigarettes and instead force more cuts on public services to balance the state budget. It makes no sense. We need to send him a message right now from the people – no more cuts to the public services our communities count on.
TAKE ACTION NOW:
Call the Governor’s office at any or all of the numbers below everyday this week.
Tell whoever answers the phone:
• I’m a Californian who supports increased taxes on oil companies and the wealthiest in our state.
• Stop more cuts to schools, healthcare, public safety, and social programs.

If they ask you to stop calling or try to tell you to call a different number – don’t listen. We have to flood his offices with calls so he gets the message loud and clear – NO MORE CUTS!
