Ventura County CATs in Action

At last week’s Contract Action Team (CAT) meeting, members heard a report from their bargaining committee, discussed recent lobby visits and more. They also took time during the meeting to call state legislators about the proposed budget cuts focusing on Public Works and Human Services.

Unfortunately, the tentative State legislators were not moved by the thousands of calls they received from constituents and SEIU members because the proposed terms of the state budget include raiding local governments. Get involved!
Plan to attend the next CAT meeting: Wednesday, August 19 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 600 E. Esplanade in Oxnard.
