City of LA DWP Security Officers Bargaining Team Nominations 2025

Our City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power union contract expires September 30, 2026. It’s time to build our Bargaining Team to win a strong contract that uplifts members, families and the communities we serve.
Use the form below to nominate yourself to the bargaining team.
As LADWP employees, this is a great opportunity for union members to have our voices heard. Members in good standing may nominate themselves. The nominee must be a member in good standing. Submit our bargaining team nomination form by Friday, June 6th at 5pm (PST).
There are four Officer, two Sergeant, and one At-Large (may be Officer or Sergeant) seats on the bargaining team.
An election will be conducted if the number of candidates exceeds the number of available seats on the Bargaining Team.
What is a Bargaining Team?
A Bargaining Team is a committee of Local 721 members who are elected to lead Local 721’s bargaining campaign. Bargaining Teams work with Local 721 members to identify issues and develop contract proposals. Bargaining teams meet with Management to negotiate over contract proposals.
Being a bargaining team member is a serious commitment and members must be prepared to meet frequently on their own time to develop proposals and plan actions. Negotiating takes place in person and generally takes place on LA City DWP time. Bargaining team members are also responsible for helping to relay information to membership, including at meetings. Bargaining Team members are to work for the good of the whole and not for individual interests.
Please help us make this year’s bargaining a success!
