We’re getting a raise!
City of El Monte general members fought hard for a fair contract during our last negotiating cycle and, this month, we’re seeing the fruits of our unity and union strength.
Effective July 1, all City of El Monte general members SEIU 721 represented employees received a 5% salary increase. This applies to everyone in the bargaining unit.
This is the third of the three across-the-board raises that we secured in our 2024-2027 contract. We received 5% in 2024, 5% in 2025, and now 5% in 2026. In total, we achieved 15% COLA over three years!
Wage increases like these and the many other benefits and protections of our union contract are only possible through the hard work and dedication of SEIU 721 members.
