Last Chance to Vote: Bylaws Ballots Due Back Dec. 18

Today is your last chance to vote by mail
for the new SEIU Local 721 bylaws. Ballots must be received by Friday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m.
Ballots have gone out to all SEIU 721 members to vote for our
new bylaws. The bylaws are the rules that govern everything that happens at our local: how we elect our officers, decide on our dues, win strong contracts and ensure representation at work. Support is growing–over 7,000 members are now
pledging to vote yes
to adopt our new bylaws.
These bylaws were written by members, for members. A lot of hard work went into making sure they are fair for everyone and they give us control over our dues and our leadership. The process of writing these rules was open to everyone, and hundreds of people participated over the past year. They were overwhelmingly approved by members of the governance working group and by our executive board, and now it’s your turn.
