The story of an illiterate adult man who learned to read because of a public literacy program at the Corona Public Library. Now he sits on the Corona-Norco Unified School District Board of Education. Make no mistake about it: If we allow private, for-profit companies like LSSI to take over our libraries, as is happening in the cities of Camarillo and Santa Clarita, valuable programs like this one will disappear.
