2022 County of Ventura Contract Ratification
Our three-year agreement includes 13% general salary increases over the term of the contract, significant increases in flex credit contribution, a one-time bonus of $2,000, and a new paid Juneteenth holiday!
We’re proud of the pay raises we’re delivering to Ventura County SEIU 721 members – with a 13% raise over the duration of our three-year contract – but that’s just the beginning.
Our elected SEIU 721 bargaining team unanimously recommends a YES vote on the agreement.
ONE-TIME PAYMENT
Our 721 members in Ventura County were on the frontlines from the beginning of the pandemic. Call it what you like – recognition bonus or heroes pay – this agreement puts an extra $1,000 in your pocket in year one and an additional $1,000 in year two. These additional payments will go a long way to help our families.
SIGNIFICANT FLEX CREDIT INCREASES
With this agreement, we minimized additional out-of-pocket costs.
JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The County of Ventura has never had JLMC (Joint Labor Management Committee) language in our contract. Now we will participate in monthly meetings to go over issues as they arise.
BRAND NEW HOLIDAY!
Yes, with this agreement, we will win a new paid holiday – Juneteenth.
We’re getting these big contract wins only if we follow the recommendation of our SEIU 721 Bargaining Team and VOTE YES to ratify our new contract.
