ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT CANDIDATES

Melanie Escobedo (HOJ – Court Processing Assistant II)
I am new to the Ventura Superior Court, coming up on 2 years in the Criminal/Traffic Division. My ambition to participate as a bargaining committee representative comes from a desire to secure a fair and honest contract that reflects the economic stressors we are facing today, as well as the great work that is done here by all our court staff.

Alyson Hall (JJC – Court Processing Assistant III)

Leslie Paramo (HOJ – Court Judicial Assistant II)
I want to sit at the bargaining table to fight for a strong contract. One that provides monetary compensation as well as a contract with language that supports it’s members. I currently sit on the Labor Management Committee for the JA Unit and I want my fight for fairness to continue. I want all the same things you do. Allow me to represent you!

Leila Staples (Simi – Court Collections Officer IV)
I am currently a Union Steward in Simi Valley, with approximately 29 yrs of court service.I was once the secretary for the SEIU AA Caucus serving Santa Barbara and Ventura from 2011- 2014. It is important to me to be of service to my co-workers and union family because we need to continue to be heard, maintain what we have, and ask for what we need.

Maureen Stutt (HOJ – Court Processing Assistant III)

Lisa Vargus-Molloy (HOJ – Court Collections Officer III)

SUPERVISORY UNIT CANDIDATES

Mirella Escamilla (HOJ – Court Supervisor II, Collections)
My name is Mirella Escamilla and I’m running for the opportunity to represent our union members during the 2024 contract negotiations as part of the bargaining team. I believe I can bring a valuable perspective to the bargaining table. I will work hard on behalf of all our members and hope to be a strong advocate for you. Thank you.

Richard Padilla (JJC – Court Supervisor II, Operations)
I feel I would be a great member to the bargaining team. I have plus 10 years experience with contracts and negotiations. I have been known to be the voice of reasoning when negotiating.

Amy Sagar (HOJ – Court Supervisor II, Collections)
I attribute my success to very simple concepts; lead by example, be kind, do not judge, listen, and treat people the way you would want be treated. Bargaining is about how we can implement positive change in our work environment and our finances. With your support, know that I hear you, I will be brave for you, & together we will make changes.
