Starting this week, SEIU 721 members gathered during their lunch breaks and collected petition signatures to urge county management to enter mediation in the final stages of contract negotiations.
Hundreds of workers and community members have already signed on to show their support.
The petitions are being presented weekly at the Riverside County Board of Supervisors meetings.
