Eligibility Supervisor, Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Social Services
I was there.
This past Friday, I got a chance to see the President of the United States of America in my home town.
This call for continuing his policy of change relies on electing viable candidates such as Jerry Brown for Governor and Barbara Boxer for Senate.
We don’t need “newcomers” with deep pockets trying to lead California. We’ve been there, done that.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, make sure you and your friends, family members, and coworkers vote for ongoing change.
Melinda Harrison is an eligibility supervisor in the Compton office of the LA County Department of Public Social Services.

There is a great deal at stake for County workers but it is not just our elected officials who have to be accountable. It is also the people who have assumed leadership positons within our community and within the county. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty and change the classifications of DPSS workers so that they have more money in their pockets. This is the same policy those who run our country are saying “more spending is needed to boost the economy”. Better retirement incomes come from less polarizations of Unions and out growth of Public Social Services. Workers need better incomes which translates into better lives for all.
