Powering Up for a New LA City in 2011

[Update] On Nov. 9, more than 100 LA City member leaders met to map out the direction of LA City services. We’re fighting for a solution that stops the attacks on retirement, ends furloughs, develops real oversight over contracting out abuses and generates revenues to protect services.

What’s next?
Our LA City bargaining team will convene and membership meetings will be scheduled at all worksites to keep you updated.

If we can’t reach a solution that’s fair for the city and fair to workers, we need to be ready to take action like never before. Stay tuned for more information at www.seiu721.org

  1. It would be helpful if members and especially member leaders not only received notice of this meeting timely, but also were invited to help plan and participate in the meetings agenda.

  2. Hopefully you guys do a better job for all of us. Because this year it seams like the City did whatever they wanted with the SEIU, I was very disappointed and still am. Yeah I have a job, but not what I worked for to get there. You guys need to get your stuff together. All you guys seem to talk about is re-election on your website, but not what really is going on. Good night.
