On May 30, SEIU 721 and Olive View – UCLA Medical Center held a joint labor management Employee Education Fair. Over 600 OVMC workers learned about 24 different organizations and departments that they work with to serve patients everyday and received workers’ rights training from SEIU 721. Workers also learned about the DHS Innovation Project, an initiative DHS and SEIU 721 are taking to help prepare for the Affordable Care Act .
This fair was a huge success! It gave frontline workers the opportunity to learn why DHS is a managed care provider of choice.
