“Being recognized by the board is a tremendous honor for us all. People may not know that we are behind the scenes doing important work to ensure all of our patients receive quality healthcare, but we are always there dedicated to our jobs! It really means a lot to be recognized for the jobs we love to do.”
– Leana Babineaux, Radiologic Technologist, Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center, Chair of BU 221
Allied Health Professionals deliver high quality healthcare that relies on a diverse team of professionals. 2012 is the first year that the Board of Supervisors has acknowledged and celebrated SEIU Local 721 members in the Allied Health Profession.
“This is the first time in my 30 plus years with LA County that Allied Health Professionals have been honored by the county. I hope that Allied Health Professionals Month continues to grow going forward and helps to educate people about who we are ad what our role is as frontline healthcare workers” – Pamela Moore, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, LAC-USC Blood Bank Laboratory
SEIU Local 721 salutes the members of Bargaining Units 221, 222, 341 and 342 for their important role in the LA County healthcare system.
