DWP Security Officers to CAO: ‘A Deal’s a Deal’

What’s going on?
After two years of negotiations, we reached and ratified a tentative agreement with DWP management. But the CAO asked the city’s Executive Employee Relations Committee to hold it up. He wants to wring more concessions out of us.
Our Position
We are committed to containing costs and we are open to new ideas about how to do it. But we negotiated a contract, and the city should honor it. After all, a deal’s a deal.
