We recognize that standing united with our community is key to lifting up ALL of Ventura County. This is why our push at the bargaining table is consistently geared to protect the services our members provide and improve the communities where our members live and work.

The next bargaining session is on December 7th where the County is expected to present counter proposals.

Campaign Update

Basket-for-BOS.JPGYour unity and participation is making a difference in our campaign to lift up Ventura County. Already we have paid several visits to the Board of Supervisors demanding an investment in our community.

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving members delivered a powerful message at the offices’ of County Board Supervisors. County workers arrived at the Hall of Administration with baskets full of personal bills, including the expensive medical bills, and personally delivered their stories. Members emphasized that while County Board Supervisors would be enjoying their Thanksgiving dinners, many members would be at home worrying about how to make ends meet and how to meet the needs of our community. The message was clear: Its time to Lift up Ventura County and its time to value the vital services our members provide.

Your participation is key. Together we can keep quality services in our County. Don’t forget to vote to do Whatever It Takes to win a fair contract for our community.

Part of working in unity is also meeting in unity. Please mark your calendar for the upcoming County of Ventura all membership meeting on December 8th at UFCW, 816 Camarillo Springs Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012. The meeting is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
