County of Ventura Bargaining Update – Rolling Up Our Sleeves

The SEIU 721 County of Ventura bargaining team met for the second time with management at the table on Sept. 23, 2019.

The County came back with counter proposals on both economic and non-economic items for only some of our proposals.

Their counter proposals were less than desirable; we’re still far apart.

We will need to keep our sleeves rolled up at the table. Your participation in the field will also be critical.

We go back to the bargaining table on Wednesday, October 2. Make sure to Purple Up to show we are Union Strong.

PURPLE UP!
(when we bargain):

Best way to support your bargaining team at the table is to wear purple on days we bargain. Show the boss your bargaining team has your support in bargaining the best contract! Take a photo of Purpled Up members at your worksite and send them to info@seiu721.org. In the email subject line mention “Ventura Rising Together” and also the name of the worksite so we know where it’s coming from.

We’re collecting these photos and adding them to our flyers (like the one above), emails and social media posts.

To get the latest Union news and worksite information, text SEIU to 31996.

For questions, contact a bargaining team member, your worksite organizer or Tri-Counties Coordinator Akemy Bon-Flores at akemy.bon-flores@seiu721.org, (213) 446-4851.
