Join working people and SEIU members from around the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with #EarthDayLive, starting on April 22 through April 24.
This three-day celebration will feature activists, performers and artists committed to a just recovery and a New Deal that is healthy, safe and green. The fights against the coronavirus and the climate crisis go hand-in-hand, and as we work to flatten the curve of this pandemic, we must strive toward the longer term goal of building a society rooted in sustainability and justice.
SEIU 721 members will especially want to tune in from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, where we’ll be hearing from SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry, along with SEIU member leaders, followed by a clap for healthcare workers, an interview with SEIU nurses and a panel on the Green New Deal with Naomi Klein, Varshini Prakash of the Sunrise Movement and Lenore Friedlaender of SEIU 32BJ.
