Gov. Newsom: LA County Needs Reinforcements NOW

We in the healthcare field know best the exhausting toll that COVID-19 is taking on our patients, our hospitals and on us.
Cases are surging and Southern California is already at the brink even before what’s sure to be another wave after the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Join our targeted action TODAY and tell Governor Gavin Newsom that he must act now to get us more staffing resources.

Click here to tell him we need medical personnel from the Army National Guard to support Southern California hospitals. Specifically, Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Respiratory Care Practitioners.
We’re also asking Newsom to alert President-Elect Biden and VP Harris that they must have a comprehensive plan of action ready to roll out on Day One to handle the crisis in LA County.
Frontline workers have been giving their all during this pandemic and we need back up. Our lives and our communities depend on it.

Hello Governor Newsom, I know you love and care for our great state. Please send resources to LA/DHS. I am a LA County registered nurse, we desperately need more Human Resources. Nurses are getting sick or having to quarantine. Staffing is our greatest need. Working with staff shortages with Covid patients puts nurses and patients in danger. Please help us save as many as we can without losing any nurses, or medical staff members.
Sincerely,,
Carol Torres, RN, MSN

Don’t understand how I can walk into a crowed Walmart or Costco’s and can get to sit down outside to eat or get me nails done.
