County of Ventura Bargaining Update – August 22 and CAT Meeting Invite

Our bargaining team met with the County on August 20th and presented our initial proposals. The proposals reflect members’ priorities based on the bargaining survey. This was not a bargaining session but a meeting to discuss our opening proposals.

The first true bargaining session is on September 3rd. We also have scheduled bargaining sessions every Wednesday after that through the end of September.

We will have weekly hybrid (in-person and online via Zoom) Contract Action Team (CAT) meetings starting on Thursday, September 4th, from 6-7PM to inform members what happened at the first meeting.

Bargaining Petition

As the cost for essentials like food, housing and healthcare rises, our hard work and dedication can’t be forgotten. As the County of Ventura grows, county workers can’t be left behind. County of Ventura members also want to be able to afford to live where we work.

Sign the petition (if you haven’t done so already)

We demand a fair contract with strong wages that allows Ventura County workers to afford to live where we work.
