Stand with Union Faculty at St. John’s

St. John’s University, a Catholic school in New York, announced recently that it was invoking a religious exemption from labor law and was busting its two faculty unions on campus.

Sound familiar? LMU invoked the same bogus exemption last year to try and break our union of non-tenure track (NTT) faculty members.

We must fight back again this dangerous trend at Catholic institutions and call out leaders who are joining the war on faculty, workers, and the right to unionize that is being waged by MAGA and the Trump administration.

By claiming this cynical exemption, these institutions undermine Catholic and Jesuit values, which support the rights of workers to join unions, advocate for better working conditions, and win respect on the job.

Show your support by signing a petition calling on St. John’s to return to bargaining with union faculty:

STAND WITH ST. JOHN’S UNION FACULTY.
