Our union drive at San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center (SGPRC) continues to pick up steam, with more coworkers signing their union cards and joining us every day since we filed for our election.
As we grow and get closer to our election, all sorts of chatter is going to start flying – that’s why we want to make sure everybody knows that forming our union is a federally protected right!
Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), it’s illegal for management to retaliate against us for unionizing. As we enter these essential few weeks before our election, remember SPIT.
SURVEILLANCE
Management cannot spy on you or record you engaging in peaceful union activities.
PROMISES
Management cannot make promises to try to persuade you not to form a union.
INTERFERENCE
Management cannot interfere with you expressing your preference for a union.
THREATS
Management cannot threaten or discipline you for union activity, including signing a card, talking to our coworkers about a union, participating in union activities, or voting in a union election.
