We Are the Union

LMU wants you to think “the union” is some outside force. But the truth? WE are the union — the NTT faculty who teach, mentor, and make LMU run. When the administration says they won’t recognize the union, what they’re saying is they won’t recognize us.

Misplaced Priorities

A budget is a moral document — it shows what an institution truly values. And LMU’s budget speaks volumes. Money for ads, real estate, and athletics — but not for the NTT faculty who make LMU run. That’s not austerity. That’s a choice. And it’s a moral failure.

We’ve Bargained In Good Faith

Don’t believe the lies. LMU Administrators never negotiated in good faith— we did. From day one, we showed up prepared — with proposals on pay, healthcare, benefits, and more. What did LMU Administrators do? Ghost us.

We Are the Backbone of LMU

Non-tenure track (NTT) faculty make up roughly 65% of LMU’s teaching force. We teach the classes, mentor the students, and keep the university running. We are the backbone of LMU, and it’s time we’re valued like it.

This Isn’t About Faith

There’s nothing faithful about shutting down workers’ rights. LMU walked away from bargaining after ten months and a 90% union vote by invoking “religious exemption.” Faith calls for justice, dignity, and respect for workers.
