JANUARY
-SEIU 721 members hosted a “Vision Conference,” joining members and more than 50 elected officials, economic experts and community leaders to address economic challenges jeopardizing public services.
FEBRUARY
-Members joined efforts to focus development near the 215-corridor, an area projected to be the region’s future economic engine.
-SEIU leaders spearheaded the Roy Wilson Memorial Efficiency Task Force to implement smart solutions to running local government that saves jobs and services.
MARCH
-Members hosted town halls to determine candidate endorsements.
-SEIU 721 joined the Riverside County Pension Reform Advisory Committee to lead responsible retirement policy.
APRIL
–Members traveled to Sacramento and Washington, D.C., to advocate for services benefiting children and families.
MAY
-More than 6,000 Riverside County members reached a contract that restores services to the community by ending furloughs. Read the full story here.
-SEIU members walked precincts, knocked on doors and called residents to advocate for candidates who will stand up for working families. Read the story here.
JUNE
-SEIU 721 supported fellow member Adam Rush as he worked to gain voter approval for the Eastvale incorporation effort. Adam was the top-vote getter for Eastvale City Council.
-Members celebrated the victory of SEIU 721 endorsed candidates elected into office.
JULY
-Members will host an Election Celebration to honor the role members played in helping elect SEIU 721 endorsed candidates.
