Bargaining Update

After more than a year of negotiations, we have Tentative Agreements on both our local and national contracts with the American Red Cross!

The Local Contract Tentative Agreement retains guaranteed hours! It also increases wages and secures healthcare. It has all gains and no take-aways.

This hard-fought agreement is a testament to our unity and refusal to accept less than what we deserve. The local TA also includes longevity pay and retro lump sum bonuses.

The National Addendum that was reached by our coalition of unions includes a 9% wage increase over the 3-year contract and lump sum bonuses of $1350 for full-time staff and $500 for part-time staff effective the 2nd full pay period following ratification. It also includes lump sum bonuses of $365 for full-time & $200 part-time staff after 9/30/24.

National Addendum TA & Local Contract Tentative Agreement

The National Addendum that was reached by our coalition of unions includes a 9% wage increase over the 3-year contract and lump sum bonuses of $1350 for full-time staff and $500 for part-time staff effective the 2nd full pay period following ratification. It also includes lump sum bonuses of $365 for full-time & $200 part-time staff after 9/30/24. Your bargaining team recommends a YES vote on the National Addendum.

The Local Contract Tentative Agreement retains guaranteed hours! It also includes the following Retro Activity Bonuses:

Each employee hired before November 27, 2021, who are active on payroll at the time of the of the bonus payout, shall receive a lump sum bonus according to the following schedule, effective the first pay period following ratification of the TA:

• Employees who have 15 years or more of service as of the date of execution of this agreement shall receive a $3,250.00 lump sum bonus.

• Employees who have between 10 and 15 years of service as of the date of execution of this agreement shall receive a $2,750.00 lump sum bonus.

• Employees who have between 5 and 10 years of service as of the date of execution of this agreement shall receive a $2,250.00 lump sum bonus.

• Employees with less than 5 years of service as of the date of execution of this agreement shall receive a $1,750.00 lump sum bonus.

Your bargaining team recommends a YES vote on the Local Contract Tentative Agreement.
