Per the language in the MOU’s we will be conducting a vote for our members to decide if the district should re-enroll in SDI. Once we receive the results of this vote, and if members vote “YES”, we will be able to send the district a formal approval in writing.

This is the actual contract language:

“After the District’s Board has approved the successor MOU, the parties agree that the District will re-enroll in SDI for all employees as soon as the Union confirms in writing its members’ approval of same and requests that the District re-enroll.”

Keep in mind that enrolling in SDI will lead to approximately a 1.1% deduction to your paycheck to fund your SDI account. It also requires a two calendar year commitment. The District will pay for all administrative costs.

Voting Timeline

Online voting starts on July 1 at 12:00pm (noon).

In-person voting will occur at a worksite meeting on Thursday, July 7th at the Casitas board room from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

All voting will close on Thursday, July 7th at 1:00pm.

The vote count will start at 1:15pm.
