City of Ventura Market Equity Adjustment Proposals – 2026

As our elected bargaining team prepares to present our initial proposals to the City, we encourage members to submit Market Equity Adjustment (MEA) proposals. The aim of these proposals is to advocate for higher compensation for your job classification. 

We had a training meeting on April 11th where we reviewed MEA proposals. You can find a copy of the Power Point presentation here, as a PDF file. This presentation gives you an example of the types of statistics you’d want to find to back up your case. 

To submit a proposal, you can either do this electronically via the proposal submission form below or you can email us directly along with your document attachments. The online form allows you to upload select documents as well.
