NTT Faculty at the University of San Diego’s College of Arts and Sciences and NTT Faculty and Visiting Assistant Professors at LMU Rally for Fair Contracts
NTT faculty at USD’s College of Arts and Sciences highlighted how job insecurity harms students and staff during their “Union Teach Out, Reach Out” event on Feb. 4. The insecurity of semester-to-semester contracts is forcing out strong instructors, leading to fewer course options and larger classes. In response, students are sending postcards to USD leaders, urging them to negotiate a contract with educators that provides job security and a living wage.
At Loyola Marymount University, NTT faculty and Visiting Assistant Professors are joining with the campus community to demand a fair contract from LMU President Timothy Law Snyder. Supporters can email a letter via an online form asking LMU to reach agreement by Spring 2025 contract that guarantees a living wage and better benefits, job security and worker protections.

SEIU 721 is fully behind NTT FAculty and Visiting Assistant Professors at University of San Diego and Loyola Marymount University. It’s time for University leaders to bargain a fair contract!
This initiative, backed by SEIU 721, follows a recent bargaining session where union members proposed enhanced compensation, clearer performance evaluations, and unified representation for NTT faculty and VAPs.
