Key Supervisors Races Affirm Voters Care about Public Services
SEIU 721 members volunteered hundreds of hours talking to voters to help elect leaders who share a commitment to improving the lives of Tri-County residents.
During these tough economic times, members were committed to reelecting or electing new representatives that would focus their energy on positive economic recovery solutions rather than targeting services that would harm vulnerable residents and hurt workers.
In Ventura County anti-worker forces spent more than a quarter million dollars attacking our SEIU721 members and Supervisor Linda Parks for her commitment to public healthcare and the services SEIU members provide.
“With Linda Parks’ reelection, we hope that we can build upon our shared commitment to providing Ventura County residents with quality services and look at ways to improve the lives of working families including those families that chose to work in public service.” Shannon Abramovitch, Child Support Services Specialist III, Ventura County
“Das Williams has shown his commitment for working families in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We know that we can count on him to continue doing so in Sacramento.” Ted Perez, Mental Health Associate, Ventura County
“I am very pleased to see Janet Wolf retain her seat on Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, as an organization we have supported her because she does her research and really listens to all sides of the issues before making tough decisions!” Pamela Meadows, Eligibility Worker III, Santa Barbara County
