SEIU 721 Members Honor Vietnam Veterans

SEIU 721 members in the Tri-County Region made a donation to help cover the costs for having The Moving Wall exhibit come to Ventura County.  This donation was made on behalf of allMoving Wall Donation 250x200.jpg SEIU members or any family members who are veterans of the Vietnam War.

The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for more than twenty years. The exhibit will be coming to Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura from Aug. 26-Aug. 30, 2010 and there is need for volunteers at the event.

Volunteers are needed to help visitors find names, assist with overnight security, assemble and disassemble the memorial (this volunteer position is only available for veterans), food preparation, parking, cleanup, and countless other tasks during the event.

Assembling the Moving Wall.jpgIf you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the exhibit, please leave a message for Ted Perez at (805) 644-8291.
