Members Reach Tentative Agreement with Oxnard Harbor District

Oxnard-Harbor-District-TA-2013.jpegOn Wednesday, October 16, the SEIU 721 Oxnard Harbor District bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with the District. The agreement includes wage and benefit increases. Members will vote on whether to ratify the contract Wednesday, October 30.
If members vote to approve the contract, it will then go to the Oxnard Harbor District Board for a vote on November 12.
The Tentative Agreement includes the following items:
Wages:
Year One (Start date is July 1, 2013): 
•Adding an additional step with 4.8% increase•Adjusting all current steps to 4.8%

Year Two (July 1, 2014): 
•2.5% increase for the employees who have topped-out •For the employees who have not topped-out, they move to the next step which would be equal to 4.8% increase•Gross revenue bonus
Year Three (July 1, 2015):
 •2.5% increase for the employees who have topped-out•For the employees who have not topped-out, they move to the next step which would be equal to 4.8% increase•Gross revenue bonus
Shift Differential, Choosing Watches and Watch Coverage:
Shift differential for Harbormasters for 2130 to 0730 shift hours, shift selection by seniority and coverage for 2130 to 0730 shift hours by another Harbormaster receiving overtime. 
Vacation and Floating Holiday:
Employees who have worked with the District for over 10 years will receive one additional vacation day starting 2014. All represented employees will receive additional ½ day of Floating Holiday for the total of 3 ½ floating holidays.
Health and Supplemental Medical Contribution:
Would include $1300 monthly contribution to PERS health insurance plans and $75 monthly contribution to employees’ Health Reimbursement Account plan.
Dental, Vision and Life Insurance:
The District will pay 100% of the premium for employees and all qualified dependents and all SEIU Local 721 represented employees will have improved Dental, Vision and Life insurance plans mirroring OHD’s management plans.
Domestic Partner:
Addition of domestic partner in employees’ coverage.
