On May 6 the SEIU 721 Tri-Counties Regional Council  interviewed qualified candidates for three vacant SEIU 721 Tri-Counties Executive Board (Eboard) seats. Per the SEIU Local 721 Bylaws, the Regional Council has sole authority to appoint its replacements to the local’s Executive Board.

After the interviews, the Regional Council deliberated and then voted to appoint Rosa Castro, Charles Harrington and Pamela Meadows  to the Executive Board.  All three board members will serve until the next Eboard election is held next spring.

Rosa Castro is currently the Chair of the Tri-Counties Regional Council and is a court procurement specialist for Ventura County Superior Courts.

Charles Harrington  previously served as the Chair of the Regional Council and was on the City of Simi Valley SEIU 721 Chapter Board, and is a certified plans examiner for the City of Simi Valley, where he has worked for over 29 years.

Pamela Meadows is on the County of Santa Barbara SEIU 721 Chapter Board, is on the Bargaining Committee, and is an eligibility worker III for the County of Santa Barbara. Meadows served on the Tri-Counties Regional Council and the Executive Board in the past.

Our new Executive Board members were sworn in at the May 13 Executive Board meeting by SEIU Local 721 President Bob Schoonover.
