Please join Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer and SEIU Local 721’s African American Caucus as we celebrate Juneteenth on Saturday, June 17, 2017. This year we are raising the bar and inviting members to attend a formal evening of live music, delicious Southern cuisine, African dancers, exclusive door prizes and much more. We are encouraging everyone to dress in their best formal African attire keeping in step with our theme of “From Broken Chains to a New Reign.”

Important Ticket Information

Please ensure that you RSVP as no tickets will be sold at the door. The red carpet will begin at 7:30pm, and the event will promptly begin at 8:00pm. Unfortunately we are not allowing children at this year’s event. No early entry will be allowed as we would like to keep all of our surprises under lock and key until their unveiling.

Parking

The parking entrance is at 39th Street and Figueroa. The museum is equipped to accommodate physical mobility, it is wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs will be available if needed.
