We fought & won!

Our calls, rallies, marches, emails, social media messages, and other actions worked! The Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill won’t get a vote in the U.S. Senate. The White House and GOP Congress have failed (for the fourth time) to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with a plan to make the rich richer and the sick sicker!

They wanted to gut care for the disabled, seniors, working families, and even for kids, just so greedy billionaires, Big Pharma, and corporate insurance conglomerates could make more money, but we said “NO!”

We fought…

And we won!

The public and politicians won’t soon forget that this victory belongs to SEIU 721!

In November 2016 we began our fight by organizing hundreds to join us on the steps of LAC+USC. In the months since, our members and Sisters & Brothers in this fight orchestrated hundreds of actions — in the streets, at Congressional field offices, and in the Capitol!

We maintained relentless pressure on our elected leaders. In fact, our members mobilized and formed a diverse coalition of labor partners, community organizations, and health justice advocates that made OVER A QUARTER OF A MILLION calls to the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate!

Thank you!

Even though this attack failed, we need everyone to do two things to hold those who supported the gutting of our healthcare accountable:

(1) Today is National Voter Registration Day! If you’ve moved since the last election, changed party, or you haven’t yet registered, click here!

(2) Add your name to our Healthcare Voter Pledge! Encourage all of your family and friends to sign up today!

Together we rise!
